Sellers who make sales calls subscribe to it for the area codes they call, and must check their lists against data no more than 31 days old. RealDialer can do the checking for you on your own subscription: you give RealDialer access as your service provider, and RealDialer downloads your area codes every month and scrubs your numbers against them. It is recommended, and it costs you nothing beyond what the registry charges you for your own area codes.

Each account is scrubbed only against its own subscription. RealDialer never uses one customer’s area codes for another.

Where to find it

Settings > Do not call > National Do Not Call, or Do Not Call in the menu under your name at the top right.

Steps

If you do not have a registry account yet, follow “Register with the National Do Not Call Registry” first. It walks through https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov/ screen by screen.

Pick your area codes there. Suggested area codes on the National Do Not Call tab lists the area codes on your own lists, most numbers first, and marks the ones your subscription does not cover. The first five are free; the registry charges for the rest.

On the registry, find your Subscription Account Number (SAN) and your Organization ID.

In RealDialer, open National Do Not Call and enter your organization name exactly as it is on the registry, your SAN, your Organization ID, your area codes and the date your subscription expires.

Tick I authorize RealDialer to access my registry subscription as my service provider and save.

RealDialer adds your subscription to its own registry account and confirms it. The tab then shows Active, and the date each area code was last refreshed.

Calling one person who is on the registry

Numbers on the registry are always blocked, and nothing at the account or list level changes that. If you have an existing business relationship with one person, or their signed written permission to call, you can record it for that person only:

Open their contact record. Next to their phone numbers, choose I have permission to call this person. You can do this for any contact if you are an owner or manager, or for contacts assigned to you if you are an agent.

Choose your basis: a transaction with you in the last 18 months, an inquiry from them in the last 3 months, their signed written permission, or a personal relationship. A personal relationship alone may not be an exemption, so make sure you also have their permission to call.

Enter the date of the transaction, inquiry or signature, and a note describing the relationship or permission. If the signed permission is already in this contact’s files, you can attach it.

Check the numbers listed. The permission covers exactly those numbers; a number added to the contact later is not covered until you certify again.

Read the certification, tick the box yourself, type your full name to sign, and save. The certification is made under penalty of perjury and account termination, and you are solely responsible for those calls.

Emails you will get

RealDialer emails the account owner and every manager about your Do Not Call data. Each email goes once; replies reach support@realdialer.com.

Your Do Not Call data was refreshed: after a new registry download for your subscription is applied, at most once a day. It lists the area codes, the registry date, how many numbers on your lists were newly flagged or cleared, and when the next refresh is due. Keep it as your monthly record.

Do Not Call refresh due soon: when an area code reaches 25 days since its last download. If RealDialer downloads it for you, there is nothing to do. If you download that area code yourself, it says what to download and the date to upload it by under Uploaded lists.

Calls to these area codes are on hold: when an area code’s data passes 31 days. It says why calls to it are held and how the hold clears.

Your registry subscription expires on (date): 30 days and again 7 days before your subscription expires, with the steps to renew it, and one more email if it does expire.

Connect your Do Not Call registry: if no registry subscription is connected, a reminder at most once a month. It stops once your subscription is active, or once an owner or manager says the account makes no sales calls.

Never send us your registry password. RealDialer does not need it and will never ask for it.

Once active, a number in an area code your subscription does not cover is held as “Not covered by your Do Not Call subscription”. Add the area code on the registry, update it here, and it is picked up on the next monthly refresh.

Numbers whose area code data is more than 31 days old are held as “Do Not Call data is out of date” until the next refresh. RealDialer refreshes every area code before that happens.

Numbers on the registry are always blocked, and numbers in uncovered or out of date area codes are held. Neither can be switched off for the account or for a list. The one way past them is a permission for one person, described above.

A permission lifts only the registry holds: on the registry, area code not covered, and data out of date or subscription expired. Your own do-not-call list, opt outs, uploaded lists, the litigator check and calling hours still apply.

A permission ends on its own: 18 months after a transaction, 3 months after an inquiry, 12 months after certifying a personal relationship. Signed written permission lasts until it is revoked. Then the contact shows Permission expired · re-certify and the hold returns.

Anyone who can see the contact can revoke a permission with one click. If the person asks you to stop, or any of their numbers lands on your do-not-call list, the permission stops counting immediately.

The contact shows Permission on file, with the basis, who certified it and when it expires. RealDialer keeps a record of every certification and revocation.

If you download a registry file yourself, upload it under Uploaded lists as a National registry download. It counts as a fresh download of those area codes for your account.

Renew your subscription on the registry every year and update the expiration date here.

Without a connected subscription, RealDialer dials exactly as it always has. Your own do not call list and the litigator check apply either way.

New accounts see the same step on the Start calling screen. Until it is set up, the Do Not Call item in your account menu shows an amber Set up, and RealDialer reminds you in the app at most once a week. If your account makes no sales calls, an owner or manager can say so there, with the reason, and the reminders stop.

RealDialer keeps a record of when the setup was shown to you, what you chose, and when you acknowledged that your calls must be checked against the registry.

Questions go to support@realdialer.com.

The National Do Not Call Registry is run by the FTC.
