What it is

Carriers label numbers as spam using three analytics companies: First Orion, Hiya and TNS. Registering your business with them is free, takes about ten minutes, and is the biggest thing you can do for your connect rate. RealDialer cannot file it for you yet, so the Spam protection tab shows the exact order to do it in.

Where to find it

Numbers > Spam protection.

Steps

  1. Open Numbers and click the Spam protection tab.
  2. Click Copy all to copy your outbound numbers.
Spam protection tab: Copy all your numbers
Spam protection tab: Copy all your numbers
  3. Open the Free Caller Registry link and register your business with all three companies at once. Use your business name exactly as it should appear and the reason you call.
Register with the Free Caller Registry, then Hiya, First Orion or TNS for a stuck label
Register with the Free Caller Registry, then Hiya, First Orion or TNS for a stuck label
  4. If a label has not cleared, use the Hiya link to register there and dispute it.
  5. For Scam Likely on T-Mobile, use the First Orion link. For Spam Risk on Verizon, use the TNS link.

Good to know

  • Register new numbers before their first dial.
  • Allow up to a week for labels to update.
  • Keep every number under 70 dials a day. RealDialer enforces this ceiling.
  • Answer your callbacks. A number that is called back and answered looks like a business.
  • Use the business name that matches your license as your caller name.
  • Number health shows if a number is being answered less than your others, which is often the first sign of a label.
