What it is
US carriers only carry business texts from a registered brand. Before your first text can go out, your business (the brand) and what you will send (a campaign) both have to be verified by the registry. Text registration is where you fill that in. It only appears in Settings for accounts that have texting.
Where to find it
Settings > Compliance > Text registration

Steps
- Read the status box at the top. It always names the next step.
- Under The business, fill in your legal business details and press Save business details.
- Press Submit for review. A RealDialer reviewer reads it before it is filed with the registry.
- Once the business is filed, press Add a campaign. Describe what you will send, write at least two real sample messages, and explain how people opted in.
- Press Save campaign, then press Submit campaign on its card.
- If you registered as a sole proprietor, the carriers text a code to your mobile. Enter it under Enter your verification code and press Confirm code.
- Wait for Texting is on.
Good to know
- Approval at the carriers usually takes a few days. Starting early is worth it.
- Filing costs a fee per submission, so check details before you submit.
- One legal entity can be registered per account.
- If a reviewer or the registry sends it back, the reason shows on this page. Fix it and submit again.
- Sample messages and the opt-in description must match what you really send. If a sample has a link, tick Messages contain a link.
- Only an account owner or manager can change the registration. Others can view it.
- If you do not see Text registration in Settings, texting is not on for your account.
