What it is

Uploaded lists keep whole do not call files on your account as named lists: your brokerage’s list, a state do not call list you bought, a registry file you downloaded yourself, or anything else with phone numbers in it. A list applies only to your account. Every number on a company, state or other list is blocked for everyone on your team from the moment it is applied.

Where to find it

Settings > Do not call > Uploaded lists, or Do Not Call in the menu under your name at the top right.

Steps

  1. Open Uploaded lists.
  2. Give the list a name you will recognize later, such as “Brokerage do not call”.
  3. Choose where it came from: Company or internal list, State do-not-call list (then pick the state), National registry download (my own subscription) (then enter the area codes in the file and the date you downloaded it), or Other.
  4. Choose the file and press Upload list. Large files upload in pieces; the button shows how far along it is.
  5. The list shows Applying while its numbers are read, then Blocking (or Applied to your registry data for a registry download), with how many numbers it holds and how many lines could not be read.
  6. To rename a list, press the pencil next to it. To delete one, press the bin.

Good to know

  • Files that work: plain text with one number per line, a CSV with a phone column (a column named phone, number, mobile or cell), or the registry’s own download, a .txt.zip where each line reads like 615,5551234. Zip and gzip files are fine.
  • Uploading the same file again does not make a second list; RealDialer tells you which list it already is.
  • Deleting a list unblocks only its numbers, and never a number that is also on another of your lists or on your own do not call list.
  • A registry file you downloaded under your own subscription counts as a fresh download of those area codes when RealDialer keeps your National Do Not Call data for you. See “How RealDialer keeps your Do Not Call data current” and “Register with the National Do Not Call Registry”. Never send us your registry password.
  • Only an account owner or manager can upload, rename or delete a list. Everyone on the account can see them.
