RealDialer vs Mojo: Which Dialer Fits You?

More lines and one flat price, or leads and dialing on one bill.

The short answer

Pick Mojo if you want to buy your leads and your dialer from the same company, or if you need a phone app today. Pick RealDialer if you already have lists and want more lines, calling rules that run on their own, and one flat price per agent. For three lines with browser calling and call recording, Mojo comes to $204 a month. RealDialer's Foundation plan is $89 with all of that included.

We make RealDialer, so we have a side in this. We still tried hard to be fair. Everything we say about Mojo comes from Mojo's own website and help pages. Prices change, so give their pricing page a quick look before you buy.

Real monthly cost

What you'll really pay each month

Mojo sells its product in pieces: a $10 access license, a dialer, then the extras you want. RealDialer puts everything into one plan price. So we priced the same setups both ways, using Mojo's published price list.

Where the gap gets small: Mojo's own "Power Agent" example is $273 a month for access, triple line, expireds, FSBOs and neighborhood search. Add Mojo Voice and recording and it's $328. Buying that much data elsewhere, like REDX's $199 Core bundle, plus RealDialer Foundation comes to $288. If you need lots of data, price isn't the main reason to pick one. How you like to work is.

Credit where it's due

Where Mojo does really well

Mojo has been a go-to dialer for real estate agents for years, and it's easy to see why.

Leads and dialing in one place

Add expireds ($50), FSBOs ($25), FRBOs ($25), pre-foreclosures ($49), neighborhood search ($49) and skip tracing ($49) right inside your account. Everyone on the account shares the data.

Phone apps today

Mojo On the Go, Door Knocker and a prospecting dashboard are all on iOS and Android.

Connects to other tools

Mojo posts to Follow Up Boss by API and works with Zapier and API Nation, which open the door to hundreds of other apps.

Pick and choose

Add or drop pieces month to month. If you only want one line and one data type, you only pay for those.

Lots of agents know it

If your team already uses Mojo, there's someone down the hall who can show you the ropes.

Our side of it

Where RealDialer pulls ahead

More lines

Mojo tops out at three lines. RealDialer runs 3 on Foundation, 5 on Operator and 15 on Command.

One price, fewer add-ons

Browser calling, recording, transcripts, caller IDs and all calling minutes come with every plan.

Calling rules that run themselves

Before every dial, RealDialer checks calling hours for the contact's state and yours. Calls outside the window wait and dial on their own.

A guard for multi-line calling

When two people answer at once, one has to wait. RealDialer tracks that for each campaign and slows down before it gets near the 3 percent limit.

Many numbers, cared for

Local caller IDs come with your plan, sized to your calling. They rotate, rest and match the area code you're calling when possible.

Help that shows up

A real person sets up your numbers, imports your first list and runs your first session with you, on every plan.

The details

How they differ, topic by topic

Dialing

Three lines or fifteen?

A multi-line dialer calls several numbers at once. The first person who picks up gets connected to you, and the other calls stop. More lines means less time listening to rings.

Mojo's Triple Line Dialer calls three numbers at a time and says it can reach "up to 300 calls per hour." RealDialer lets you pick anywhere from 1 line up to your plan's limit. Run one line on past clients and more on a big cold list.

Leads

Buy them in or bring your own

This is the biggest difference, and it's a simple one. Mojo sells leads. RealDialer doesn't.

If you don't have a data source yet, that's a real point for Mojo. If you already buy expireds or FSBOs from someone you trust, you don't need to pay for data twice. RealDialer imports up to 100,000 rows at a time, merges duplicates and keeps every do-not-call flag in your file.

CRM and tools

Both have a CRM, and both talk to Follow Up Boss

Both come with a built-in CRM for notes, callbacks and tracking where each seller stands.

RealDialer syncs both ways with Follow Up Boss at no extra cost. Every call outcome lands in Follow Up Boss with its note, callbacks become tasks, appointments become appointments, and your Follow Up Boss people flow into RealDialer every five minutes. It also sends leads to CloseDaily CRM.

Both connect to Zapier, which opens the door to thousands of other apps. RealDialer's Zapier app has instant triggers for call outcomes, new leads, appointments and callbacks, plus actions to add, find and tag contacts. Mojo also works with API Nation. On RealDialer, Lofty and kvCORE sync are still planned.

Calling rules

Calling hours handled, or set by hand

Calling hours aren't one national rule. Many states set their own, and some are stricter than the federal 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. window.

Mojo gives you time zone and state settings, and you set them up. RealDialer keeps rule sets for all 50 states plus DC and checks both ends of the call before each dial. It also switches how it records in states where everyone must agree to recording.

One edge for Mojo: it scrubs the leads it sells against the federal Do Not Call registry. RealDialer doesn't sell leads, so registry scrubbing happens with your list provider. RealDialer keeps the DNC flags in your file and your own DNC list. Either way, the legal duty stays with you and your broker.

Apps and contracts

Phone apps, contracts and canceling

Mojo has apps for iOS and Android. When we checked, Mojo On the Go had 2.5 out of 5 stars from 81 ratings on the App Store. RealDialer runs in your browser on any computer, and our iPhone app is still in testing.

Neither one has a contract. Mojo is prepaid monthly, payments aren't refunded, and you cancel inside the app. RealDialer bills monthly, you cancel from your account, and your data stays exportable.

How to test them side by side

The best way to choose is a one-week bake-off on your own list.

Pick one list

Use the same list on both, so the data isn't what you're testing.

Same hour, same setup

Call at the same time each day with the same headset and script.

Count conversations

Track real conversations, not dials. Dials look busy; conversations set appointments.

Check what's left

When the block ends, are your notes saved and callbacks set? That's next month's listing.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is RealDialer cheaper than Mojo?
For most setups, yes. Three lines with browser calling and recording costs $204 a month on Mojo and $89 on RealDialer. If you also buy a lot of lead data, the gap shrinks, because RealDialer doesn't sell data and you'd buy it somewhere else.
How many lines does Mojo have?
Mojo offers a single line dialer and a triple line dialer. Three lines is the most Mojo can dial at once. RealDialer goes up to 15 lines on its Command plan.
Does Mojo include call recording?
Not in the base price. Call recording is a $25 a month add-on that records select calls and keeps them for 90 days. RealDialer includes recording and transcripts on every plan.
Does RealDialer sell leads like Mojo does?
No. RealDialer doesn't sell contact data. You import lists from any provider you already use, up to 100,000 rows at a time.
Can I move my contacts from Mojo to RealDialer?
If you can export your contacts as a CSV file, you can import them into RealDialer. It merges duplicates and keeps the do-not-call flags from your file. Our onboarding team will help with your first import.
Does either one have a phone app?
Mojo has apps for iOS and Android. RealDialer runs in your browser, and its iPhone app is still in testing.
Does Mojo require a contract?
No. Mojo is prepaid month to month with no contract, but payments aren't refunded. RealDialer is also monthly with no contract.
